Kayaks are single seated boats and you have a double ended paddle to propel you through the water.
What Will You Do?
After some basic instruction in paddle strokes and safety, you will head out with your Instructor to explore Derwentwater, maybe visiting an island or two. You will get a very different view of the area from the Lake – it is stunning!
What Will I Wear?
You need to wear clothing that you don’t mind getting wet and preferably made of synthetic material: leggings, track suit bottoms, sports type tops, fleece and an old trainers. Remember to bring a complete change of clothing and a towel and sunscreen and a hat are advisable.
What else do I need to know?
Sessions run at 9.30am and at 1.30pm daily and cost £35pp inc vat for each session.
All specialised equipment is provided.
Children over 8 years old can be left for the whole day as long as they bring a packed lunch and change of clothing and are doing both a 3 hour morning session and 3 hour afternoon session. Please note that they are NOT supervised during the lunch hour.
