Rock Climbing is an ascent of a rock face using appropriate safety gear such as a harness, belay and ropes.
What Will You Do?
Once you have been issued with your gear, you will head off to a local crag (rock face) with your Instructor in a centre mini-bus. After a short walk, and once you are at the crag, you will learn how to use the climbing gear correctly and be how to stay safe when climbing or belaying your partner. You will also learn techniques to help you climb and after the climb up, you can abseil down
What will I wear ?
Trousers are best due to wearing a harness and light walking boots or sturdy trainers are ideal.
What else do I need to know?
Sessions run at 9.30am and at 1.30pm daily and cost £30.00 per person inc vat for each session.
All specialised equipment is provided.
Children over 8 years old can be left for the whole day as long as they bring a packed lunch and change of clothing and are doing both a 3 hour morning session and 3 hour afternoon session. Please note that they are NOT supervised during the lunch hour.
